  • The Mount 7 Rec Plex and scheduled programs are set to open in late September.
  • The Golden & District Arena will open for the season in early to mid-October.

  • The Seniors and Parent & Tot programs will remain at the $2 drop-in price with a 10-punch pass at $18.
COVID-19 precautions
  • Users will be required to pre-register for recreation programs online or by phone. Registering ahead of time lets us safely limit the number of participants in each program, as well as giving us the information we are required to collect for contact tracing.
  • Masks will be required in lobby areas and other areas where physical distancing poses a challenge.
  • There will be a reduction in hours of operation, and the number of programs and participants due to facility capacity guidelines and safety measures consistent with the current provincial health guidelines.
  • User groups will be required to submit COVID-19 safety plans.
  • Enhanced sanitization measures and longer times between programs and bookings to accommodate cleaning protocols.
  • No access to change rooms or showers in any facilities.
  • Limited number of spectators permitted.
Things might look a little different in the world of recreation, but we are happy to be able to provide recreation options to residents while keeping our community safe. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
