Hours of Operation: Canada Day 2021 Print Article Font Size
We are adjusting our hours of operation tomorrow for Canada Day:⁣
  • Town Hall will be closed to the public on Thursday, July 1. Re-opening on Friday, July 2 at 10 a.m.⁣
  • On Canada Day, the pool will be open for pre-registered public swim times from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.⁣ Visit golden.ca/swimming for details and to register.

Canada Day Celebrations:⁣
As a result of the provincial fire ban, the Town of Golden will not be hosting Canada Day fireworks this year. We will be looking at alternative dates/holidays for fireworks when it is safe to do so. ⁣

Each year, we typically compile and promote other community organized events for Canada Day. Community event organizers have let us know they won’t be hosting any Canada Day events this year. For those looking to celebrate Canada Day, the Government of Canada has celebration kits available online and will be hosting virtual fireworks at Canada.ca/canadaday⁣

Canada Day is a day for us to reflect on what it means to be Canadian. This includes educating ourselves and reflecting on the story of Canada and what that means for Indigenous peoples.⁣
