We are seeking public feedback on Short Term Rentals in Golden Print Article Font Size
The Town of Golden is in the process of fine-tuning a draft regulatory framework for Shor Term Rentals. Your Town Council wants a regulated and fair framework that allows some STRs while protecting the existing housing stock. We are looking forward to having a discussion with everyone involved in this matter and coming up with a “made in Golden” solution for it that we can all live with.

We are now seeking public feedback in two ways:

Firstly, we encourage you to contact us in regards to your interest in attending one of our focus group discussions.  We are seeking input from:
·        Real Estate Industry
·        Strata Councils
·        Short Term Rental operators
·        Bed & Breakfast operators
·        Hotel/Motel operators
·        Town residents or business owners who feel they have been impacted positively or negatively by STRs.

If you are interested in participating, please send an email to str@golden.ca with your name, contact information, what sector you represent and a few sentences on why you would like to participate.  Three focus groups are scheduled for
·        Wednesday, November 29th at 10am;
·        Monday, December 4th at noon;
·        Wednesday, December 6th at 5pm
·        Wednesday, December 13th at 4:30pm

Please confirm which focus group you are available to attend and the Town will confirm if you are selected to participate and on which date.  The reason for this two-step process is to foster a diverse focus group conversation in a small group setting.

Secondly, we are currently gathering comments through a short community survey. Click the following link to take the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YMSSKX5
