Temporary Road & Pathway Closure: 5th Street South

Temporary Road Closure: April 2-6

Work will resume April 2 on the development of Well 7 at Dogwood Park.

The next step in the well development process is to undertake a multi-day continuous pumping test of the drilled well.

This will require the placement of a large diameter pipe across 5th Street South on the east side of the Riverglen Drive intersection, which will not be passable with vehicles (see map below).

Beginning the morning of April 2 until 5 p.m. on April 6,  5th Street South will be closed to vehicle passage at this location.  Alternate routes are available in both directions from the closure location.

Residents that live near the park are also advised that a generator is required for pump operation and will be operational 24 hours a day during the well pump test.

The Town appreciates your patience and understanding during this necessary well-testing phase.

Temporary Pathway Closure: April 2-6

Persons with mobility assist devices are advised that there will be a large diameter pipe crossing the Kicking Horse River dike trail  from the morning of April 2 until 5 p.m. on April 6 at the approximate location shown in the map below. During this time the area will be impassable with mobility assist devices. At the same time 5th Street South will also be closed to through traffic at the east side of the Riverglen Drive intersection.  6th Street South may be used as the nearest alternate route during the closures.

The disruption to normal passage at these location is required for extended duration well testing of the recently drilled well in Dogwood Park.

The Town appreciates your patience and understanding during this necessary well-testing phase.
