
Ridge North America (Ridge), on behalf of Golden District Investments Ltd, is proposing to construct the Golden Resort Residential project at 1410 Golden View Road. The project consists of a two-storey parkade and 20 hotel units on the ground floor, and 123 dwelling units spread over five buildings (3 buildings of six, five and four storeys and 2 townhouse buildings) with a central courtyard above the parkade.
The following variances to the Town of Golden Zoning Bylaw 1294, 2011 are being sought:
- Variance - Section 7.3(2) - Landscaping: To allow for 28% landscaping of the front yard area.
- Variance - Schedule Q Resort Commercial-C6 section h) Setbacks: The front lot line setback is 10m. The underground parkade is 7m from the front property line.
- Variance - Schedule Q Resort Commercial– C6 section g) Maximum Building Heights: The maximum building height for Principal Building is 12.0m. This variance is to permit a maximum building height of 22.5m.
- Variance -S Schedule Q Resort Commercial– C6 section– Other Regulations: To allow for seven (7) dwelling units on the first storey where no dwelling units are permitted.
The Development Variance Permit will be considered for issuance on January 20, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. at Town Hall (Council Chambers) 810 9th AVE S Golden B.C.
