Please be advised that construction of a paved pathway along the east side of 8th Avenue South, between 9th Street South and the Pedestrian Bridge pathway is scheduled to begin.
This work is majority grant-funded and will result in the creation of an important pedestrian link long supported by Council.
Residents should expect typical noise and dust associated with construction. Work will be conducted during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday. Traffic control will be in place during construction as and where required.
TYBO Contracting, the contractor, will be responsible to ensure the roadway remains open to local and emergency vehicle traffic during the course of this project.
Funding for this initiative comes from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP), COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream (CVRIS).
