Work continues in the downtown core with the 9th Avenue North Fire Line Installation project, 6th Street North Downtown Street Renewal, and the Downtown Plaza Revitalization. Work on these projects will result in traffic impacts and short-term closures over the next couple of weeks. Here’s what you need to know:
500 block of 9th Avenue North (Johnston Meyer to the Big Bend)
- Tuesday, June 13: Single-lane, alternating traffic. Paving preparation work of excavated areas will be completed during the day. Traffic control will be in place during this time.
- Thursday, June 15: Road closure. Paving of excavated areas will take place on the morning of June 15 starting at 6 a.m. This work will require a closure of the area until work is complete at approximately 10 a.m.

5th Street North (between the Post Office and Bona Fide)
- Monday June 19 from 6 a.m. to Thursday, June 22 at approximately 6 p.m.: Road Closure. 5th Street North will be closed to complete work on a concrete road crossing as part of the Downtown Plaza Revitalization.
