Over the next few days, residents may notice smoke in the Wildfire Risk Reduction treatment area near the rodeo grounds and Selkirk Slacker area as the cycling club completes the final phase of their Wildfire Risk Reduction project.
Burning is only permitted when provincial venting conditions allow. To proceed, crews require:
- “Good” venting on the day of the burn
- At least “Fair” venting the following day
