
General municipal elections are held every four years on the third Saturday in October throughout British Columbia.

You will vote on:
- One Mayor and six Councillors to Town Council
- Three School Trustees for School District No. 6
2026 Key Dates:
- August 2026: Nomination packages will be available for pickup starting August 4.
- September 1 - 11, 2026: Nomination Period
The nomination period begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1 and ends at 4 p.m. on September 11. - October 7, 2026: Advanced voting
- October 17, 2026: Voting day
- October 21, 2026: Declaration of official results
- November 3, 2026: Inaugural Council Meeting

Council Remuneration
The Mayor's remuneration is approximately $31,895 per year and a member of Council's remuneration is approximately $17,884 per year.
Term of Office
If you are elected to office, you are expected to serve a full four year term. This term officially begins on November 3, 2026.
