Chandos Construction will be constructing a Pumphouse for Groundwater Well 7 in Dogwood Park. Work will include construction of the well, building, and connection to surrounding underground utilities.
Work will be ongoing from August 31st, 2026, to June 30th, 2027.
The work will occur at the intersection of 5th Street South and Riverglen Drive as well as within Dogwood Park.
Road traffic will be re-routed at the intersection of Riverglen Drive and 5th St S intermittently throughout the duration of construction.
Pedestrian traffic on the walkway spanning 5 St S to 6 St S will also be intermittently re-routed throughout the duration of construction.
Roadway and walkway access will remain open to public traffic whenever safe access can be maintained. Closures will only occur when required for timed construction activities necessitating a closure.
No services will be impacted by this work.
The Town is committed to balancing safety with water quality preferences. Disinfection equipment design as submitted for IHA approval will allow for the lowest possible chlorine dosage to be considered for approval by the regulator.
