On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Bears Paw water reservoir (green tank) will be taken offline to prepare for cleaning and preventative corrosion protection maintenance work.
Bears Paw Reservoir serves the south bench area of the community including all residences accessible by either Selkirk Hill Road or Bowle Evans Road.
While the reservoir is offline, water service will be maintained by existing pressure pumps with provision for generator backup power in the event of a power outage.
Letter to residents in the area have been delivered by hand. Increased levels of turbidity or water cloudiness may be experienced during the maintenance period. This will not affect water potability.
Please refrain from outdoor irrigating unless done with a handheld spray nozzle during the maintenance period.
The reservoir is expected to be returned to regular service by Saturday, October 3, 2026, once water quality results are verified. Chlorine taste and odour may be detectable during the first few days after the return to service.
