The Local Government Climate Action Program (LGCAP) provides local governments and Modern Treaty Nations with predictable and stable funding.
This funding supports timely local climate action that reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, prepares communities for the impacts of a changing climate and creates new opportunities for people in the clean economy.
Member municipalities including Golden are required to complete a survey and attestation annually in order to qualify for annual program funds. The LGCAP to-date has provided annual funding intended to support local climate action (CA) initiatives that may reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (mitigation) or prepare communities for the impacts of a changing climate (adaptation).
