Effectively immediately for residents and businesses in the North Bench area of Golden:
Interior Health has issued a boil water notice for the area impacted by an earlier watermain service disruption. Goldenview Road, Lafontaine Road, Gareb Road, Pine Drive, Deere Ridge Road, Granite Drive, Quartz Crescent, and Golden Donald Upper Road are all affected.
This notice is Issued pursuant to direction provided by an Interior Health Drinking Water Officer under Section 14 of the Drinking Water Protection Act.
Steps for Water Users:
- It is recommended that customers in the area run their cold water taps as there could be air in the system as a result of the earlier outage. Customers may experience taste and odour associated with chlorine disinfection.
- Boil water for a minimum of three (3) minutes prior to:
- Drinking
- Preparing food
- Giving water to pets
Steps Taken by Water Supplier:
System flushing and bacteriological sampling will ensure the system potability is restored before the boil water notice is rescinded.
