BC Wildfire Reports that a few pop-up afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected Wednesday through Friday afternoons, followed by clearing skies.

Heavy equipment continues to build a machine guard on the southwestern end of the fire. Crews continue working between the Columbia River and the transmission line, mopping up to 50 ft in from the fire’s edge along the fire's southern side.

Crews will continue the use of small-scale hand ignitions and direct attack across the southern side of the fire as conditions are favourable. Along the southeast corner, in the area of the Hobo saddle, crews and heavy equipment continue building a machine guard and using direct attack methods. As conditions allow, crews will continue using small-scale hand ignitions to secure the constructed guard of the southeast corner and western side of the fire. Plans remain in place for ignitions on the southeast perimeter and will be implemented when site and weather conditions allow.
