BC Wildfire reports that the Dogtooth wildfire has seen some growth with the size increasing by 189 hectares to 5,670.
Crews continue to strengthen guards around the perimeter of the fire, using direct attack methods, strengthening and securing flanks of Hobo saddle, and strengthening containment lines along the north edge of the fire. Crews are mopping up and removing any built-up fuels along the established guard. Heavy machinery is consolidating and strengthening guard.
Helicopters continue to provide support on the Dogtooth wildfire operations, patrolling for hotspots outside of the main guard. An Evacuation Alert remains in place for 332 properties from Hawkins Rd to approximately 2km south of Parson and an Evacuation Order remains in place for Rauch Rd., Malone Rd., Parson River Crossing FSR, Thomas Rd., and 2104 Highway 95 S.
