We have reached a major milestone on the Mount 7 Rec-Plex Block redevelopment! Concrete work in the expanded skatepark is officially complete and the park is now OPEN!
Caution!
Please be aware of your surroundings and use caution while using the park. Active construction will continue onsite with ongoing work to complete pathways and landscaping. Temporary closures may be required for sections of the skatepark as contractors work to connect the pavement.
What’s next?
Work will continue over the summer to landscape the area and build connecting pathways between the skatepark and pump track and between the bowl feature, beginner zone and sidewalks.
This fall we will start upgrades to the tennis courts, replacing the current format with two new tennis courts and two new pickleball courts.
Additional work will continue in 2024 with the construction of a shelter, washroom and lighting for the outdoor arena.
