September long weekend safety and hours of operation

Are you ready for the September long weekend? Have fun, stay safe and help prevent wildfires!⁣⁣

Campfires are now permitted in the Southeast Fire Centre. This includes Golden and Area A.⁣
⁣⁣
If you're having a campfire this weekend:⁣⁣
🔥Keep campfires no larger than 0.5 metres high or 0.5 metres wide.⁣⁣
🔥Never light a campfire or keep it burning in windy conditions. Weather can change quickly and wind may carry embers to other combustible material.⁣⁣
🔥Never leave a campfire unattended.⁣⁣
🔥Have a shovel or at least eight litres of water available to properly extinguish a campfire.⁣⁣
🔥Create a fuel break around the campfire, free of any debris or combustible materials⁣.
🔥Make sure the fire is fully extinguished and that ashes are cool to the touch before leaving the campfire for any length of time.⁣⁣
