Please note that some sections of the Rotary Trail along the Kicking Horse River are currently closed due to large pieces of ice melting and falling onto the pathway. The buildup of melting ice is a result of excavating ice from the river earlier this year during an ice jam.
Due to spring conditions, the dike surface is too soft for equipment to remove the ice at this time and it will be left to melt in place.
