Hot and dry conditions experienced over the last week have resulted in new fires starting overnight in the Golden area. Unstable weather will continue for much of the week. BC Wildfire Service is currently assessing the situation and will determine if action is required. Golden and Area Emergency Program is actively monitoring the situation.
