Evacuation Alert rescinded to ALL CLEAR

On August 21, 2024, based on recommendations from BC Wildfire, the Evacuation Alert issued on July 23, 2024, by the Golden and Area Emergency Management Program due to the Dogtooth (#N21427) wildfire near Parson has been rescinded to ALL CLEAR for all properties.

In addition, the Evacuation Order for the properties at 4490 Thomas Rd., 2104 Hwy 95 S and Rauch Rd. has been rescinded and downgraded to all clear.

The Dogtooth wildfire has not been declared out by the BC Wildfire Service. An evacuation Alert may need to be reissued. Currently, the wildfire is considered as being held. This means, that it is projected, based on fuel and weather conditions and resource availability, to remain within the current perimeter, control line or boundary. For updates from BC Wildfire visit www.bcwildfire.ca or download the BC Wildfire app.
