The Town of Golden’s 2024 Budget process kicks-off on Tuesday, March 19 at 1:15 p.m. at the Regular Open Council Meeting.
Following the March 19 meeting, the public consultation process will begin with the release of the Budget Book, giving residents an opportunity to review the plan, comment and ask questions. Stay tuned for more details on how to provide your input!
Here is a list of upcoming meetings related to the budget process:
March 19
- 11 a.m. - Standing Committee on Finance Meeting: Tax Rate setting discussion.
- 1:15 p.m. - Regular Open Council Meeting: Proposed first reading of the 2024-2028 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw.
March 20-April 3: Public Consultation Period
April 2
- 6 p.m. - Standing Committee on Finance Meeting:
- 7 p.m. - Regular Open Council Meeting: Proposed second reading of the 2024-2028 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw.
April 9
- Noon - Special Open Council Meeting: Council consideration of public input regarding the proposed budget.
April 16
- 1:15 p.m. – Regular Open Council Meeting: Proposed third reading of the 2024-2028 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw and proposed first, second and third reading of the 2024 Tax Rate Bylaw.
May 7
- 7 p.m. – Regular Open Council Meeting: Proposed adoption of both the 2024-2028 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw and the 2024 Tax Rate Bylaw.
