The Town of Golden’s 2022 Budget process kicks off on Tuesday, April 12 at 10 a.m. with a Special Meeting of Council to present the proposed 2022 Budget and 2022-2026 Financial Plan for first reading.
Following the April 12 meeting, the public consultation process will begin with the release of the Budget Book, giving residents an opportunity to review the plan, comment and ask questions. Stay tuned for more details on how to provide your input here on social media or at golden.ca/budget.
Here is a list of upcoming meetings related to the budget process:
- April 12 at 10 a.m.: Special Open Council Meeting & Standing Committee on Finance Meeting for 2022 Budget & Financial Plan (proposed first reading).
- April 19 at 1:15 p.m.: Regular Open Council Meeting. The public will be provided an opportunity to comment and ask questions to Council during question period.
- April 26 at 10 a.m.: Special Open Council Meeting & Standing Committee on Finance Meeting for the 2022 Budget & Financial Plan (proposed 2nd and 3rd reading) and a tax rate discussion
- May 3 at 7 p.m.: Regular Open Council Meeting for adoption of the 2022 Budget & Financial Plan
