The Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) in Golden remains activated and incident responders continue to work on the fire. The weather continues to remain stable. Helicopters continue bucketing to cool the fire’s edge or flareups as objectives require.
Please note that the EOC phone will not be monitored between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. Due to reduced demand, the Reception Centre at the Senior Centre will be open on Saturday, July 27 from noon to 4 p.m.
A reminder that 28 properties remain on Evacuation Order near Parson in the following areas:
- 2062, 2103, 2104, 2105, 2122, 2128, 2146, Highway 95
- Rauch Rd.
- Malone Rd.
- Parson River Crossing FSR
- Thomas Rd.
For the 1,044 properties that are still on Evacuation Alert in the area south of Champagne Rd. Be prepared with your grab-and-go bags, gather essential items (i.e. medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers, and immediate care needs for dependents), and your 72-hour kit, get prepared at www.preparedbc.ca Assist your local Emergency Support Services Team by self-registering now on the Evacuee Registration and Assistance website at https://ess.gov.bc.ca/
